After a long time of silence, Duran Duran finally are
getting prepared for the launch of new music. The new
album, entitled Red Carpet Massacre, is due to be
released in November. In advance the first single has
been released throught iTunes USA already: Falling Down.
The track has been released through internet already by
the band's record company Epic.
 
The first single Falling Down, a collaboration with Justin
Timerlake, is an uptempo balad and it has got a fresh sound
and could be labelled as 'typical Duran Duran'.
The video to this song has been shot
in the week of September 17, and has been released mid
October. The video will be released in two different versions,
a regular one and an x-rated version.
 
Falling Down, released already in the USA digitally, will not come out as a cd-single (except for in Germany, Italy and the UK).
However it will be released in a digital format worldwide later in November. Click here for release dates of the single and album.
 
Another track on which the band worked with Justin is Nite Runner. Also Timbaland collaborated with Duran Duran on this
track. The band premiered this song in New York City, USA during a special fan community concert. Together with a few
other new songs from the new album, the tracks have played just before the band started their live show. Nite Runner
has been played live as well during the encore.
 
Other titles featured on the forthcoming album are Skin Divers (featuring Timbaland), Red Carpet Massacre, The Valley,

The band have recorded Red Carpet Massacre over the past year, starting in New York City last September with Justin
Timberlake and Timbaland at The Manhattan Centre and then in the UK with producer Nate ‘Danja’ Hills
and mixer/engineer Jimmy Douglass.
The album will be released in two formats: the regular jewel case with an 8-page booklet and a soft digipak in a slipcase,
with full-length CD plus 30-min bonus dvd showing the making of the album, making of the “Falling Down” video,
and more. This special package also contains a 28-page booklet and a 16-page foldout booklet plus a special press
badge sticker!
Besides above mentioned versions a special Japanese version will only be available in Japan including a bonus track!
 
But there's more! After the release of Falling Down in September Duran Duran starts an extensive promo tour to get the
world's attention to their new single. Please check www.duranduran.com for updates on their appearances on TV and
in the magazines. Besides this the boys are planning a world tour again supporting their 13th full studio album starting
in 2008. Planning to schedule live dates in North America, Europe, Japan and possibly Australia.
But before the band is hitting the road for this world tour they will play 2 dates in Wallingford CT, 10 dates at Broadway
in New York City and a set of dates in London. They intend to play the full album live.
